Terms & Conditions of Use

These Terms and Conditions of Use (“Terms”), together with our Privacy Policy, form a legally binding agreement (“Agreement”) between you (“User”, “You”, “Your”) and EyeNewz (“We”, “Us”, “Our”).

A. Definitions

“App” means the EyeNewz mobile application (com.prod.contentnews) downloadable from Google Play, including any updates.

“Content” means news headlines, summaries, images, metadata, and links made available through the App.

“Publisher” means a third party that owns or licenses the original news content linked from the App.

B. Your Acceptance

You accept this Agreement by downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App. You may only use the App if you are of legal age to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction and are not barred from using the App under applicable law.

If you do not agree to these Terms in full, do not use the App.

C. Provision of the App

1. EyeNewz is a news reader that summarizes third-party content and links you to original publishers. We aggregate headlines and short summaries from licensed RSS and similar sources. We do not host full articles unless we have a license or legal right to do so.

2. When you read a summary and choose to open the original source, you leave the App. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or privacy practices of third-party publisher websites.

3. The App may include links to third-party sites that may contain objectionable, unlawful, or inaccurate material. We do not endorse such sites and are not liable for their content.

4. An account is not required in V1. Optional Google Sign-In may be offered to sync preferences across devices.

5. You agree that while using the App you will:

• Use the App only for personal, non-commercial purposes;
• Not use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose;
• Not copy, reproduce, scrape, or redistribute our feed or App content commercially without permission;
• Not reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App except as permitted by law; and
• Not interfere with the App’s servers, networks, or other users’ access.

6. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice.

D. Restrictions on Use

You will not upload, post, transmit, or share through the App any content that:

• Belongs to another person without the right to share it;
• Is defamatory, obscene, harassing, hateful, or unlawful;
• Infringes intellectual property or privacy rights;
• Contains viruses, malware, or code designed to disrupt systems;
• Impersonates another person or entity; or
• Violates any applicable law or regulation.

You will not use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the App or our API except as expressly permitted in writing.

E. Reporting Violations & Content Takedown

1. To report content that violates these Terms, email legal@eyenewz.com with:

• A link or screenshot of the content; and
• Your reasons for the objection.

2. We will acknowledge reports within 24 hours and aim to respond within 15 days by removing content, restricting access, or taking other appropriate action.

3. Our assessment is limited to whether content violates these Terms or our internal policies. We do not provide legal judgments on reported content.

4. For urgent matters, use the subject line “Urgent — Content Takedown” in your email.

F. Termination

Your access to the App may end if you uninstall the App, violate these Terms, or if we are required to terminate access by law. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

G. Intellectual Property

1. The App, its design, branding, and technology are owned by EyeNewz or its licensors. Headlines and summaries may be derived from Publisher content; original articles remain the property of their respective Publishers.

2. EyeNewz trademarks, logos, and service marks may not be used without our prior written consent.

3. You are solely responsible for any intellectual property violations caused by your misuse of the App.

H. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your data. By using the App, you agree to our data practices as described there.

I. Limitation of Liability

1. Your use of the App and any Content is at your own risk. EyeNewz provides summaries for convenience; we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any Content.

2. To the fullest extent permitted by law, EyeNewz shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.

3. You agree to indemnify and hold harmless EyeNewz and its officers, employees, and agents from claims arising from your use of the App or breach of these Terms.

J. No Warranties

The App and Content are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all devices.

K. Governing Law & Disputes

1. These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

2. Any dispute shall first be attempted to be resolved amicably by contacting legal@eyenewz.com. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes may be referred to courts of competent jurisdiction in India.

M. Disclaimer

Content provided through the App is for general information only. Always read the full story at the original Publisher for authoritative reporting. EyeNewz is not responsible for decisions you make based on summaries in the App.

YOU EXPRESSLY AGREE NOT TO USE THE APP IF YOU DO NOT ACCEPT THESE TERMS IN FULL. ANY VIOLATION MAY RESULT IN LEGAL LIABILITY.
