BMC Clears 68 Km Of Footpaths Under ‘Pedestrians First’ Drive, 443 Encroachment Actions Taken
The BMC has cleared nearly 68 km of footpaths and initiated 443 enforcement actions under its ‘Pedestrians First’ initiative in Mumbai. Between August 1 and 14, the civic body removed unauthorised structures, hawkers, banners and other obstructions from pedestrian pathways. The first phase targets 200 footpaths near stations, schools, hospitals and other crowded locations across the city.
