Mumbai Crime: 3 Pose As BMC Officials, Extort ₹19,500 From Ghatkopar
Three men were arrested for allegedly impersonating BMC officials and extorting Rs 19,500 from a businessman travelling in an autorickshaw. Kherwadi Police said the accused stopped Jubin Shah near Bandra East's Vakola bridge and claimed he had violated civic rules by smoking. After examining CCTV footage and conducting technical surveillance, cops traced the trio to Powai and arrested them.
