Nepal: Chinese National Pulled To Safety After Being Trapped In Hydropower
A Chinese national was pulled to safety on Saturday after spending 10 days trapped inside a hydropower tunnel in Nepal’s flood-ravaged Rasuwa district. The man, identified as Luhaitao, had been stranded inside Audit Tunnel 4 of the Upper Trishuli 1 Hydropower Project, which was severely affected by the floods. The Nepali Army said a joint team involving its personnel and foreign rescuers managed to locate and evacuate Luhaitao from the tunnel.
