Ujjain celebrated the 80th Independence Day at Dussehra Maidan with flag hoisting, a parade and cultural programmes. Minister of State and district in-charge minister Gautam Tetwal inspected the parade and honoured families of freedom fighters. Police, NCC and Home Guard teams received awards for their performances, while students presented patriotic programmes.
