Congress MLA and former Haryana Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Sharma has urged Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge to remove Rohtak MP Deepender Singh Hooda from the Congress Working Committee (CWC) over his remarks praising former party leader Sajjan Kumar. In a letter addressed to Congress president Kharge on Sunday, Sharma said Hooda's remarks had sent "shock waves" among the Sikh community and reopened wounds associated with the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.
