West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari urged citizens to work together for developing the state during his first Independence Day address on Saturday. Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Viksit Bharat’ vision, he said ‘Viksit Bengal’ was necessary for the goal. Adhikari also highlighted Bengal’s freedom fighters and honoured 14 IPS officers with the Chief Minister’s Medal.
