Expired Food Sold As Fresh? Navi Mumbai Racket Exposed, Maggi, Lay’s, Kurkure
A food racket involving alleged tampering of expiry dates and replacement of labels has been busted in Navi Mumbai. The FDA and Crime Branch seized 8,442 cartons of products including Maggi, Lay’s and Kurkure worth ₹75.52 lakh. Sadhana Enterprises’ licence was suspended, while an FIR was registered under the Food Safety and Standards Act and BNS.
