US threatens ‘toughest sanctions in history’ to pressure Iran into submission
US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has warned that Washington will impose the “toughest sanctions in history” on Iran as part of an unprecedented campaign aimed at putting the country’s economy under severe pressure and forcing a change in Tehran’s policies.
