The database is proposed to map properties, parks, waterbodies, drinking water connections, stormwater drains and components of the new underground sewerage scheme. The survey will use LIDAR, drone imagery and Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) technology to generate satellite images. The project is expected to help widen the tax and revenue bases, identify under-assessed properties, encroachments and unlicensed commercial establishments. Minister B.
