RAM TEMPLE: Retired Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra appointed first CEO of Shri
he Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has undertaken a major administrative restructuring with the appointment of retired Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra as its first Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Mishra, former chief of the Indian Air Force’s Western Air Command, was unanimously selected from 5,585 applications after three candidates were shortlisted. He retired from the Air Force on April 30, 2026, after nearly four decades of service and played key roles in the Kargil War and Operation Sindoor. He has also been awarded the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and Yudh Seva Medal. Mishra said he considers the appointment a blessing from Lord Ram and pledged to serve the temple and devotees with dedication. Saints, local residents and political figures welcomed the appointment, expressing hope for stronger administration, transparency and better facilities for devotees.
