Y Combinator sells Rs 970 Cr Meesho stake in block deal
Global startup accelerator Y Combinator has sold shares worth around Rs 970 crore in Meesho through a block deal on the stock exchanges, marking another major exit by an early investor in the ecommerce company. According to data available on the NSE, Y Combinator sold around 4.84 crore shares worth Rs 969.63 crore in the transaction. The deal comes weeks after other early backers of Meesho, including Peak XV Partners and Elevation Capital, offloaded Rs 1,949 crore worth of holdings in the company. The latest transaction is part of a broader trend of early Meesho investors monetising their investments after the company went public. Meesho listed on the stock exchanges in December 2025 following its IPO. Prior to the transaction, Y Combinator was expected to sell up to a 1.05% stake in Meesho for around Rs 957.5 crore, with the proposed sale price set at Rs 197.5 per share.
