Mumbai: BMC Begins Evacuation Of Families From Landslide-Prone Ashok Nagar In Ghatkopar West
The BMC has begun evacuating families from landslide-prone Ashok Nagar in Ghatkopar West following the August 12 landslide. Around 25–50 families have agreed to shift to safer locations, while others have refused to leave. Temporary shelters have been arranged at Mohili School in Sakinaka, as the civic body continues efforts to move residents away from the vulnerable terrain.
